Welcome to Jordan!

“Ahlen Wa Sahlan”, welcome to Jordan. Upon your arrival to Queen Alia International Airport in Amman, our English speaking airport team will meet you holding a sign with your name at the passport control desk to assist you in the immigration and visa issuing process. This service is included for all non-restricted nationalities (please contact us to find out if your nationality is included). Next you will be meeting our driver who will transfer you to your hotel in Amman. If you arrive early in the morning, we can start the day with a first city tour, otherwise enjoy your first afternoon at leisure in Amman.

DAY 2

Amman Full Day Tour Old and New City Streets

Today you enjoy your breakfast at the famous restaurant  “Hashem” in Amman - enjoy a true taste of Hummus & Falafel including a taste of Kenafeh. Afterwards, we will start with our full day tour through Amman old and new streets. Start with visiting Duke’s Diwan, the Citadel, you will see the whole city and Temple of Hercules before heading to the magnificent Roman Theatre. Afterwards, you will enjoy a walk through the old city called “West Al Balad”. It has hundreds of shops, coffee shops and local restaurants. Wherever you shop, don’t be surprised if the shopkeeper offers you a cup of coffee while you decide on your purchase - it’s all part of the friendly, Jordanian shopping experience. Continue to Rainbow street for an exploration walk, enjoying the colorful streets, stairs, artistic cafes and art galleries, visit the Soap House in Rainbow Street, and have a coffee break at wild Jordan. Now, reach the newer streets of Amman such as Al-Abdali Boulevard Street then proceed to your hotel.

DAY 3

Amman - Jerash - Ajloun Orjan village

After breakfast in your hotel we will head to Jerash. This ancient city boasts as an unbroken chain of human occupation dating back more than 6 500 years. The city’s golden age came under the Roman rule and the site is now generally acknowledged to be one of the best preserved Roman provincial towns in the world. After a lucnh break, we will continue to North to reach a viewpoint overlooking the River Yarmouk. Across the river stands the politically iconic basaltic plateau of Golan Heights, and the biblical Sea of Galilee. You will see Syria, Israel, Palestine and Lebanon all at once. Then you will explore the Orjan Village Trail: continuing from the Soap House, this tour takes you through wooded valleys to the lush green orchards of Orjan village, giving you the chance to discover the rural lifestyle of the region. A poplar-lined spring provides a wonderful contrast to the arid mountains of the previous stages of the trail. As you hike, note the dramatic rock walls, old water mills once used by local people to grind their seeds and the hollow walnut tree. Enjoy a delicious traditional meal in an orchard of fig, pomegranate, apple and apricot trees.

Ajloun – Iraq Al Amir - Madaba

Today, you will live like local Jordanians and experience their life, food and culture. After breakfast with a local family, depart Ajloun to Iraq Al Amir to visit the ancient ruins and then Iraq Al Amir women’s cooperative society. Then proceed to Madaba. You will visit Madaba and the Basilica of St. George. The floor of the church depicts a remarkable 6th century mosaic map; its two million pieces of colored stone depicting the hills, valleys and towns of the Holy Land. Continue to meet a female Henna artist to experience having a traditional drawing on your hand or arm followed by having your lunch in this town.

Madaba - Mount Nebo - Kerak – Shobak (Abu Ali Experience) – Little Petra

After breakfast, depart to visit Mount Nebo, an elevated ridge of the Abarim in Jordan, approximately 710 meters above sea level. It is mentioned in the Hebrew Bible as the place where Moses was granted a view of the Promised Land. Afterwards head out on the Kings Highway to visit the best-preserved crusader castles in Kerak and Shobak. Continue to visit Abu Ali and have a chat with Bedouins during a cup of tea sip. Continue to Little Petra to be welcomed by a local family. Your day will end with a traditional local dinner.

Little Petra - Petra Visit – Wadi Rum

After breakfast at the camp, head to visit the Rose Red city “Petra” the world wonder from the back door in little Petra, which is Jordan’s most valuable treasure and greatest tourist attraction. It is a vast, unique city, carved into the sheer rock face by the Nabataeans, an industrious Arab people who settled here more than 2000 years ago, turning it into an important junction for the silk, spice and other trade routes that linked China, India and southern Arabia with Egypt, Syria, Greece and Rome. Upon arrival, you will take a horseback ride through the Siq, the only access to this city. Visit the Treasury, Roman Theater, Royal Tombs, Court, Qasr Al Bint and the Church. Afterwards continue to Wadi Rum.

Dinner & Stargazing in Wadi Rum

Enjoy a traditional Zarb dinner around a Bedouin campfire. Around 9 pm it is time for you to enjoy the starry nights of Wadi Rum. Living in lively cities makes it more difficult to witness the magnificence of the skies and heavens. Through the innovation of science, you are able to get a little closer to the hidden wonders of the Universe. Stars, planets, nebulae, all are within your reach with this experience.

DAY 7

Jeep Adventure Tour in Wadi Rum

After breakfast, enjoy a 2hrs. Jeep tour experience in Wadi Rum. “Vast, echoing and God-like”. These are the words T. E. Lawrence used in describing Wadi Rum. The largest and most magnificent of Jordan’s desert landscapes, this is a stupendous, timeless place, virtually untouched by humans. A maze of monolithic rocks capes rises up from the desert floor to heights of 1,750m creating a natural challenge for serious mountaineers. Enjoy spectacular scenery, legendary red sand dunes and take a jeep ride through the desert to explore the epic scenery of Wadi Rum. During this 2hrs jeep ride you will see, Nabataean Temple – enjoy the view of Wadi rum village from the north side, Lawrence spring – named from the famous film, Lawrence of Arabia, Red Sand dune – soft sand to walk or run from the top and Khazali Canyon – walk through the canyon and see old ancient inscriptions inside.
