Full day in Sintra, Cascais and Estoril

After a delicious breakfast, enjoy a full-day excursion that will take you to delightful sites along Lisbon’s coastline. Your first port of call will be the wondrous Sintra, which is associated with the poet Lord Byron. In its time, Sintra, with its wooden ravines and fresh water springs, was a privileged retreat used by the Romans, the Moors and the Portuguese kings. After exploring Sintra by foot, proceed to the sun-kissed Cabo da Roca, which happens to be continental Europe’s most western point. Complete this coastal golden triangle with visits to Cascais and Estoril, before returning to Lisbon for the evening.

Porto city tour

After a delicious and filling breakfast, set out on a half-day private tour of Porto, taking in the city's main sights, including Mercado do Bolhão and Torre dos Clerigos (Clerics' Tower). On this tour you will appreciate the architectural variety of the city, which pairs the medieval with the modern. The topography of Porto is pleasant on the eye but tough on the feet, so you will appreciate the balance of the tour, with its shuttling and walking parts in equal measure. Many of Porto’s historical buildings are built into a cliff face that overlooks the river, and so in order to really appreciate the cityscape, choose the Douro Cruise of Six Bridges, which will take you through picturesque mountain and river landscapes, where you will gaze upon the six bridges that link Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia.
