DAY 2

Buenos Aires City Tour (a.m.)

The tour includes attractions such as the 9 de Julio Avenue, the Obelisk and Corrientes Street. The first stop will be in the Plaza de Mayo to visit the Cathedral and the Cabildo (Old City Hall). After that, the trip will continue towards the most traditional neighborhood of Buenos Aires, San Telmo, which is characterized by its old colonial houses and the cobblestoned streets. Later on, the tour will go to La Boca neighborhood located in the south of the city. There will be a new scheduled stop so as to look around the colorful zinc houses that make up this area of Buenos Aires and that used to be the refuge and home for the first immigrants and popular artists. Soon after, the vehicle continues to Puerto Madero – the old port of the city that was turned into one of the most exclusive gastronomic and residential areas in Buenos Aires. The tour will go to Palermo: one of the most extended areas in the city and where it is possible to find the popular woods of Palermo with more or less 300 ha (741 acres) of gardens and artificial ponds surrounded by elegant buildings. Finally, the last point in the tour is Recoleta, which is one of the most selected neighborhoods and where, among other attractions, the Recoleta Cemetery can be found. Also, there are bars, cafes and fancy restaurants that are worth a visit.

DAY 3

El Tigre & Delta Tour

This tour goes along the coastal area of Buenos Aires, starting in Del Libertador Av. Costanera (coast of the river), Jorge Newbery Airport and River Plate stadium. Then, this passes by the Presidential House of Olivos, before the arrival in San Isidro town where the first stop is scheduled. This place was chosen as a summer resort by the Buenos Aires aristocracy at the end of the 19th century and that is why it is possible to admire wonderful houses and palaces from those times as well as the Cathedral and a great view of the Rio de La Plata. Then, the next stop will be at the pier in El Tigre Town so as to board on a vessel and sail the channels and the branches of this delta. One of the highlights in this trip will be the old residence of a former Argentinean President called Sarmiento, before finishing back in the pier.At the end of this trip, the vehicle will return to the city of Buenos Aires.

Argentina Falls Tour

The park was created in 1934 with the main aim to protect the majestic Iguazu Falls. In 1984, the UNESCO declared this place Natural World Heritage due to the beauty of the scenery and the biological diverse in this subtropical rainforest.The visit to the Iguazu National Park can be done via three circuits and on catwalks, best known as Lower Path, Higher path and the Devil´s Throat Path. The Lower Path is a 1,200-metre-walk (0.8 miles) that gives a great view of the majority of the rapids and falls from a front and lower point of view. The distances range from a bird’s eye point of view of The Devil’s Throat together with several Brazilian rapids, to spectacular close-ups to other falls. This walk has some high difficulty level due to the number of steps along the way (approximate duration: two hours). The Higher Path is a 1,300-metre-walk (0.9 miles) that will raise every visitor´s adrenaline level because of the vertigo of being at the edge of some waterfalls. This walk has breathtaking sceneries from a cliff-point outlook and this is the less effort demanding walk of the three traditional ones. No steps along the way (approximate duration: 1 hour). The Devil’s Throat has to be access via the Ecological Jungle Train, and everyone must get off at the stop named after this waterfall. From there, there is a stroll along the catwalk which is a winding path that goes around the islands for 1,100 meters (0.7 miles) and ends in the large balconies located on the edge of falls. There are no steps along the path (approximate duration: two hours).Nautical Adventure (on shared basis)It starts and finishes at the end of the Lower Circuit, which is located in front of the San Martin Island. The ride is made with motor-boats that pass through the lower canyon of the Iguassu River and around the island up to the foot of the three Musketeers waterfall, where one can enjoy a spectacular and clear view of both the Brazilian and Argentinean sides, as well as the Devil’s Throat Fall. Besides enjoying the beautiful panoramic view of both sides of the falls, it is possible to get very close to the waterfall of San Martin Island, the biggest waterfall that a motor-boat can approach safely.Duration: 12 minutes.Difficulty: 100 meters of stairs. Includes: multilingual guides, waterproof bags so as to keep the belongings during the tour.Our Advice: take an extra pair of dry clothing.Remarks: the ride is not available to pregnant women and people with physical/medical problems. It is not allowed to do this tour without shoes.Optional activity: Great Adventure (on shared basis)The Great Adventure is a unique trip that combines the whole essence of the Iguassu National Park in one ride: the rainforest and the waterfalls. It starts by entering the jungle from the “Yacaratía” trail with a special transportation that allows a panoramic view of the environment along with experienced guides that provide information as well as the history of this spectacular place. After an 8 km (5 mi) truck ride, the vehicle arrives at Macuco Pier so as to board on motor-boats and go through the Canyon of the Iguassu River, towards the falls. After enjoying the view of the calm side of the San Martin Island the vessel will sail to The Three Musketeers waterfall. At that point, the Brazilian and Argentinean sides and the Devil’s Throat can be clearly appreciated. After that, the boat will sail along the shore of the island so as to get to the most exciting part facing the San Martin waterfall, a wonderful and unforgettable experience, for it’s the largest waterfall any motor-boat can approach safely.The end of this tour is at the base of the lower circuit where visitors go back to the trails.Duration: one hour.Difficulty: 100 meters of stairs.Includes: multilingual guides, waterproof bags so as to keep the belongings during the tour.Our Advice: take an extra pair of dry clothing.Remarks: The ride is not available to pregnant women and people with physical/medical problems. Brazilian Falls Tour (a.m.)

The Brazilian Falls are located on the western side of the Paraná State in Brazil. They were declared Natural World Heritage in the year 1986 by the UNESCO. This Brazilian park with 185,000 hectares (458,000 acres) borders the Argentinean National Park and they are divided by the Iguazu River. Both parks make this region one of the largest natural protected areas in South America.The tour starts at the Visitors’ Center, designed to be the access to the park. The building functions as an embarking and disembarking station for visitors. In order to be able to start the circuits along the catwalk floors, every visitor must take one of the modern panoramic view busses so as to move safely within the park. The length of the catwalk floors is 1,200 meters (0.8 miles) from where it is possible to get a breathtaking view of the 275 waterfalls. The four main rapids on the Brazilian side are: Floriano, Deodoro, Benjamín Constant and Salto Unión or The Devil´s Throat. At the end of the path everyone will get on a panoramic elevator that will take them to the bus units.Optional activities:Helicopter flight over the falls25 minutes after having crossed the border into Brazil, and just before the Visitors´ Center for the park, it is possible to find the Helisul Ltd. Office, company in charge of offering the Helicopter tours over the falls.Duration of the flight: 10 minutes.Remarks: the helicopter has a capacity for 4/5/6 passengers. In case there is only 1 person travelling, that person will have to pay for 4 people in order to take that tour (otherwise will get a refund).The ride is not available to pregnant women and people with physical/medical problems.Parque Das Aves (The Bird Park)The Bird Park is a private enterprise, situated in one of the most attractive parts of the world: near the Iguaçu Falls in the state of Paraná, Brazil.Rare and colorful birds fly in the huge aviaries which have been built to blend in with the humid subtropical forest. Visitors are able to enter these aviaries and be amaze by the birds, alligators, anacondas, pythons, marmosets and butterflies.Suggested duration: 1-2 hours.

Humahuaca Tour

This is a trip along the Gorge that was declared World Cultural Heritage by the UNESCO because of the colorful landscapes and cultures that make up this one-of-the-kind destination.The tour will actually begin in the Purmamarca Village where you will be able to look closely at the well-known Seven Colors Hill, the town Church and the Craft Market located around the square.Then the vehicle will head northwards up to Tilcara town, where there will be a stop so as to visit the old Pucara (Fortress in Quechua language) and the Archeological museum before arriving in Huacalera; that place exhibits a wonderful landscape in a hill named “the skirt of the Colla woma” due to the shape it has.The next point is Uquia, with its church located just before the town of Humahuaca and there, you will get off the vehicle to visit the monument of the Native Indian made by the artist Soto Avendaño.  After lunch and heading back to the south, it will be possible to admire the hill nicknamed “the Paintor´s Palette” just on the side of the town Maimara. There will be stop in the city of San Salvador de Jujuy in order to visit the Cathedral which exhibits an amazing piece functioning as a pulpit and that was made by the sculpture Lola Mora.You will return to Salta along the old road by a cliff and framed by exuberant subtropical vegetation until the arrival in the city of Salta.

Quebrada de las Conchas and Cafayate Tour

Leaving from the city of Salta, heading towards the south you will go along the Lerma Valley and its see its historical towns. Then, you will reach 'Quebrada de las Conchas' (the Shell’s Gorge), where wind and water has eroded the rocks into curious shapes. The most famous ones are: The Amphitheater, the Devil’s throat, The Toad, The Castles, among others.On arrival in Cafayate town, the vehicle will stop at some wineries so as to try some typical wines of the region, like the popular white wine torrontes. Also, it will be possible to visit the town, its streets, the main plaza and historical buildings but mainly, exchange some words with the locals. At the end of this visit, you will return to the city of Salta along the same way.

To Mendoza

After breakfast at the hotel you will be taken to Salta airport to catch a domestic flight to Mendoza. Depending on the exact connection chosen, it can be either a direct flight or one touching down on the way. That also means that you may have either a relaxed morning or more free time on your arrival in Mendoza.Once you reach Mendoza, you will be picked up by our representative and taken to your hotel. The afternoon is free for you to explore the town.

High Mountain Tour

Today, you will depart on the High Mountain Tour. You will take National Route No. 7 towards the west of Mendoza, along the Mendoza River. After travelling for approximately 100 km, you will see the Potrerillos Dam and the Uspallata Village. Then, you will visit some small towns located at the river banks which were inhabited by railway workers, when the train service used to operate in that area. Penitentes, one of the most important ski resorts, is also on this area as well as “Puente del Inca” (The Inca’s Bridge). You will pass by The Aconcagua’s lookout point, located in the access to the Aconcagua Provincial Park; of all the marvels that Argentina offers, the Mount Aconcagua (or “The Sentinel of the American Continent”) with its 6,959 m. a. s. l. (22,831.3 ft.) is positioned as one of the top. From this lookout point you will start a short trekking to Los Horcones Lagoon that is born from the glaciers located in the surrounding areas. Almost finishing the tour, you will visit the small mountain called Las Cuevas, which is in the Chilean border. After this point, you will star the way back to Mendoza. Should the weather conditions be favourable, you may also be able to ascend to the Christ the Redeemer Statue at 4,000 m / 13,123 ft. above sea level.
