Train travelling to Murmansk through the Russian Khibiny Mountains.

The journey north from Belomorsk (in the European part of Russia) to Murmansk takes in some spectacular scenery. Those who travel during the winter, may even be treated to a sighting of the Northern Lights. Be warned though: this far north, in the dead of winter, the sun does not rise over Murmansk for two weeks.
