About this photo
A charro is a traditional Mexican horseman, who take part in the game of charreada, which bears many similarities to rodeo. The main difference between the two is that charreada events are not timed; instead they are judged and scored based on finesse and grace. The sport dates back to the 16th century, and there are many regional variations all over the country.
