Located in the beachside town of Pattaya, Thailand, the Sanctuary of Truth is an awe-inspiring carved teakwood structure. It teeters dramatically on the seafront. Construction began in 1981 and it is still being built. It blends ancient religious iconography from around Asia and is intended to act as a spiritual beacon.
