Misty night view of Victoria Harbour in Hong Kong 17 Mar 2017

About this photo
Mist lays low over the naturally-formed harbour between Hong Kong Island and Kowloon. Victoria Harbour, named after the British Queen Victoria, is one of the main attractions in Hong Kong, with the city skyline backed by dark mountain ridges. The mountains, which create these islands, continue to drop steeply underwater creating this deep water inlet from the South China Sea and providing shelter from the open ocean.
Hong Kong's skyline is one of the most impressive in the world. Look out across Victoria Harbour from one of the many high-up bars or restaurants, from the top of Victoria Peak or by crossing the water on the Star Ferry on Insight Guides' Hong Kong Highlights trip.
