About this photo
Thailand's Golden Triangle, still crowd-free compared to much of the country, comprises the neighbouring provinces of Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai in the far north. Expect to see wonderful temples, lush scenery and bustling market life. Huai Pla Kung Temple, pictured, is a traditional Chinese-styled pagoda, seven stories high, with impressive views from the top. Slightly out-of-town, it makes for an alternative visit from the busier temples in the city centre.
