About this photo
Southern rockhopper penguins are one of the smallest penguin species on earth. What they lack in size they make up for in appearance. They have bright red eyes and orange beaks and a funky crest of yellow and black feathers on their heads. These gregarious birds return year after year to the same breeding spots along Argentina's Atlantic coast. Visit Argentina's rugged south on Insight Guides' Wild Patagonia trip.
