About this photo
On the shores of the Mekong River, the Buddha Park (Xieng Khuan) is a verdant oasis full of glorious sculptures of Buddha, as well as Hindu gods, demons and animals. The park was built in 1958 by a monk and counts over 200 sculptures and is a great way to spend a few hours. There's a lovely café overlooking the river when it's time for a break.
Visit the park and see the sculptures for yourself as part of Insight Guides' Historial Laos trip
