After breakfast, you may enjoy a leisurely stroll through the heart of Rome, which will take you to the Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain. In the afternoon, take a small group walking tour to discover all of ancient Rome’s sights, including special access to the famous Colosseum and the Forum Romanum. On this tour you will gaze upon the Arch of Constantine, climb Palatine Hill and venture along the legendary Via Sacra. In the evening, you may stop at a local café for a quick shot of espresso before embarking on a caffeine-imbued exploration of the city’s many piazzas. You can round of the day with dinner at a trattoria which offers authentic Italian cuisine and impressive house wines.
After breakfast, you will be taken to the train station to board your train to Florence; the birthplace of the Italian Renaissance. Upon arrival, a driver will meet you and transport you to your hotel. Take some time to wander the oldest streets in the city including the Arno River and the famous Ponte Vecchio. Be sure to experience an authentic Florentine gelato, considered by many to be the best in the world.
After breakfast, you will join a small group walking tour of the historical centre of Florence, seeing famous sculptures, frescoes and paintings in three of Florence's most well-known churches; the Duomo, Santa Trinita and Orsanmichele. Enjoy a free afternoon to perhaps explore the Uffizi Gallery and see the impressive paintings of Leonardo, Botticelli and many more. Florence is home to one of the oldest pharmacies in the world, Santa Maria Novella which is located inside a former Dominican monastery that sells beautifully packaged perfumes and elixirs; a great place to pick up some unique souvenirs or just visit their museum.
After breakfast, embark on a small group tour entitled 'The Best of Tuscany'. Visit the medieval hilltop town of San Gimignano, which boasts a charming maze of cobbled streets, small squares and local artisan shops. From there proceed to the wondrous Siena, and then the tiny walled castle town of Monteriggioni. Enjoy lunch at a Tuscan villa estate with wine tasting and a cellar visit. Return to Florence.

After breakfast, enjoy your day at leisure or choose to take a tour of Doge’s Palace and the Grand Canal, including a ride in a deluxe motor launch along the waterways snaking through the heart of Venice. Your guide will recount the history of the palaces which you pass by.
